The Cue of Change in education

 Welcome decision by the government to scrap the CBSE 12th board exam .....Here are the thoughts which are escaping from my mind right now....

May this decision helps us to wriggle out of notion of giving  too much importance we attach to the performance of a student in an exam.Having said that,Yes....exams are important to gauge how well you are prepared for the given subject....To asses the performance of a child under pressure...But even if one doesn't fare well in the exam ,still one can be  meted out with unfettered opportunities. The high noon of one's life can certainly  not be  decided by mere paper- pen. Some notions should be dislodged from the mind and be littered into the bins of the past time.

If the examinations were to have the same results for everyone ,then what in the first place an exam is for???The grades are meant to be different .Some should get more,some are bound to get less.

We have been so hard wired into judging someone by the marks that it will now take quite time and tweak to throw it out of the window.

A better  academic result can certainly not vouch for a better future and giving a cold shoulder subtly or clearly  to a child who performs badly is definitely not justified.

There are many instances of brilliant students ,the performance of whom doesn't hold candles before the mediocre brains in the later part of the life.

  The tricky part of exams is that as soon as you get through it,the sense of achievement wilts like a drooped flower. This doesn't mean that a child need to scrimp on his efforts.The only point is that we should give more room of acceptance  to mediocrity also. Pitching in to the motivation of a child and stop belittling him for his failures...this very behaviour will definitely start transporting the child to the brink of the best in him .

An education system should strive to empower the young minds...,make them understand success in the true sense.making them understand that there is a sea difference between being successful and being peaceful,striking the just right amount of balance housing the enormity of the dream and efforts to live that dream.

As the students are now motioning towards their dreams...I pray to God that all of them may find their right groove and fulfil their dreams with the tools like honesty  and perseverance. May all the opportunities be unlocked...

UNHOOKED........

 Greetings  to all my readers   🙏🙏.When I dipped my toe into blog  writing ,I didn't really know what to write about ...Not that now I know  😉😉..but one news after the other doing  the rounds does manage to give a food for thought......

'SHE' puts her head and heart to her married life.......eschews her comfort zone to embrace a new world and weave dreams of a blissful life....This seems every bit worthwhile ......isn't it???But as the time takes its course 'SHE' lands up at the barrage of expectations.....which if she fails to meet,she ruffles many feathers  ending up to create tension in the fabric of love........holding onto which seems difficult and dropping it ensues  viciousness of misfortune  ........'SHE' finds herself at the crossroads which seems to take  her to no where......She feels decimated ......She could not avail the mirror to gaze at the bruises of her soul........She seems clueless....for once in this body lived a girl with infinite dreams......

And one day 'SHE' found her lost self in a smiling flower....in the chuckles of a little girl.'SHE' laughed at the ghosts of errors that she committed.....SHE could conquer it all...daring the universe to bring it on.......game for anything, just anything that might t befall......come what may.....she gazes at the sky awashed herself with ample sunshine.....blew a flying kiss to welcome a new life without pain.... without  sufferings......

Good Riddance 2020????

 With the break of the dawn we will board a new year.This 2021 is all the more welcome because of its tedious predecessor.When one reflects on 2020,the entire piece of cake,baker and the bakery is usurped by the Wuhan born Virus,which doesnt seem to have any volition to escape yet though.To add insult to the injury,we  again have new type of strain  staring at us.

Take a bow to the frontline warriors who held the baton firmly against the vicissitudes that took toll in the lives of the mankind that exist in every nook and corner of the world. Year 2020 ,has shown us crippled economy, the scourge of the disease rendered people jobless,losses of life,loss of bread,abridged salaries and you name it.

 The treatment of the virulent invasion was beyond the ken of all  of the  medical experts ,so the prologue of the year saw the lock down being imposed on us which was a term hitherto unknown ,if not literally,but  figuratively.On retrospection, I found that this lock down helped us to unlock the doors of our mind,body and soul.Many people from various fronts voluntarily chose to come up with the better demeanour.

When everything remained engulfed in the negativity,and one had nothing more to do but to question the supreme that if this has to be  an "act of god",then can god really act so heartlessly? Can mother nature who is known for only giving obliterate her own gifts by this force??Or is it that we only erred in humanity????

I read it somewhere that destiny  has a way to make us do what we are meant to.......and can be rather harsh if need be.We all wanted to explore the external world without peeping into our own self which already has a reserve of infinite potential....what answers were we looking for when we didn't have the abilities to grapple with the questions of our own conscience...

Can the forces of nature be this cruel?? or is it that we were not prepared enough to combat the turmoil..... ,we will always be subjected to uncertainties  of varying magnitudes....what will help us is the inner strength and its abilities to neutralise the external fears...the inner self needs to be adressed....let us all strive to find the missing measure of happiness....within us within ourselves......for that is where the god resides.... In us ....With us.....Ridding ourselves with 2020 taking the hard lessons let us move lifeward.....

Wishing my readers a very happy,enlightened and illuminated new year.....

Maa ...we have done it again......

 With the immersion of Maa Durga  last day...again we have pulled through in putting up a great show ......everything seemed to be impeccable.... check the lip service proclaiming the greatness of women.... check the kanya pujan ... check the 9 days starving .....and not to mention while performing your sringar,have managed to put primer on the current situations of the females...kudos to our feminine aberration.....

This year too we have successfully allowed our grotesques hypocrisy to remain unscathed...we talked big about you slaying  Mahishasura ... but are incompetent to fight with the Mahishasuras masqueraded as men . This year too we remained inured to the plight of our women ,so much so that now unless it is as huge as Hathras,Kathua,Nirbhaya we don't bother to pay attention....other incidents just lack the threshold to move....they are  too hackneyed now...we are too busy for it....can;t afford to be droned to it.

So this year too we get  full marks in the double standards.......we managed  too well.... worshipped an idol of a goddess and assaulted the alive women  ...leaving her in tatters...   safe  zone  for her in this space seems to be perennial till doomsday

U don't need to be a victim of the patriarchal assault to feel this agony... being a woman or having a girl in your family tree is just enough to rob you off your tranquility....so in case you have serendipity of not meeting such accidents .....the fear of having what might be in store for you or your daughter or your sister or your any loved ones who happens to be  girl is sure to eat into your time and energy denying u to loosen up for long.

Isnt it for nothing that the birth of a girl child is given a frowned welcome.......beneath your mighty idol lies our egregious misogyny.... the bellows of pain are  subdued with glib....lend us your hand Maa..... Empower us!!!!If you will not who else will!!!! Your idol is immersed not your energy...Give us the manual to use this energy till you come back next year.....

Beating his own TRUMPet

 Do I call it as a beginner's luck by Paulo Coelho that I couldn't wait for much longer to write my second blog ....

A HEART FELT  GRATITUDE TO ALL THE READERS WHO EXTRACTED TIME TO READ A BLOG BY AS NAIVE A WRITER AS ME.

Err.... another verbal Faux pa.....you must be careful mister Trump..... atleast think about your bromantic fabric  with Mr. Modi before calling India filthy....

Another epic instance of your perfection in making foot on mouth remark which has fomented the debate yet another time...adding upto your subtractive reverence......

While I reluctantly acquiesce the alarming levels of air pollution in the country ..... Hell unfair!!!!spare us this  ambivalence ....where have those heaps of praises disappeared to....which you used to laden us with????Why did you have to notoriously quote India in the bad light??Recently enough  you had to question India's reporting on covid cases ......please avoid using India as a thorough fare ending up   into a abortive attempt to  save your face.....

I really wish some Akshay Kumar had come to our respite like he did to Katrina Kaif in the blockbuster called  Namaste London released about a decade ago.........and by the way why are  you trying to behave like a child who after performing poorly in the exam starts giving examples of other friends who scored even more badly to evade the spanking he might land up into.....

Filthy air in India is definitely a cause of concern for us....we need to hound our present government with the questions about its sad state....but then Mr. Trump we are 1 billion.......being a Physics teacher I always instruct my students not to jump to any conclusions just by looking at the numbers you need to have this argument of unitary method also.... so no marks to you for having done better than India at the pollution level......NAMASTE TRUMP.....

TODAY AS WE WITNESS....DUSSEHRA TO MARK THE VICTORY OF GOOD OVER EVIL.....I JUST HAPPEN TO GRAPPLE WITH THE IDEA THAT RAVANA WAS A VILLAIN OF THE PIECE AND EVERY BODY WAS AWARE OF IT.....THINGS WERE AS BLACK AND WHITE AS THEY COULD BE...SO MAY BE IT WAS EASIER FOR LORD RAM TO BE PUNITIVE FOR HIM..

CUT TO THIS CURRENT TIMES....VILLAINS OF THE STORIES ARE ARMED WITH GREY SHADES THESE DAYS ....THEY ARE SUBJECTIVE NOW....A PERSON MAY APPEAR TO BE THE BEST OF PERSONS TO ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE,THEY MAY HERO WORSHIP HIM .... BUT MAY BE HE IS INTO SOMETHING DARKLY NON NEGOTIABLE ON THE OTHER HAND...RAM AND RAVANA SEEMS TO BE OSTENSIBLY COEXISTING IN A SAME PERSON.....HOW TO PUNISH THAT RAVAN WHILE REMAINING INNOCUOUS WITH THE RAM .

IT IS BECOMING ALL TOO DIFFICULT TO COME DOWN HARD ON A CULPRIT BECAUSE AS SOON AS U INTEND TO DO SO.....IN NO TIME U WILL HAVE THE OTHER COTERIE IN THE SUPPORT  OF THE SAME PERSON TO DEAL WITH.....

ISN'T IT LEADING TO A MESSED UP SITUATION IN WHICH JUSTICE SEEMS TO BE A FAR CRY....WHILE WRITING THIS I AM GINGERLY TRYING TO SIGNAL TO A LOT OF CASES IN WHICH JUSTICE IS PUSHED TO NOWHERE BUT HAS HURLED US WITH ALOT OF CONFUSION BECAUSE OF TWO GROUPS STUBBORNLY SUPPORTING THEIR ROLE MODELS DENYING WHAT WAS THE NEED OF THE HOUR THEN.....

THE THING THAT WE DO NEED TO REALISE  IS THAT THE ROLE MODEL WHOM I HERO WORSHIP CAN HAVE HIS DARKER SHADES ALSO....I BEING IMMUNE TO HIS BAD SIDE WILL HAVE A MASSIVE IMPACT ON THE JUSTICE THAT MIGHT REMAIN DANGLING LIKE AN ARTIFICIAL CARROT.

LET US RESOLVE TO LARGELY NOURISH ONLY THE RAM....AND MAKE NO BONES IN PUNISHING THE RAVAN SIDE OF THE PERSON WE ADMIRE OR ELSE WE ARE UNKNOWINGLY KEEPING THE RAVAN ALIVE WHO WAS KILLED BY RAM ....SO WE ALL NEED TO BE THE RAM ....

"DID ANYONE SAID IMPOSSIBLE?"

LET ME REMIND YOU OF ENLIGHTENED ARJUN WHO  HELD ONTO THE PATH OF JUSTICE BY TAKING ON HIS OWN KINS FOR THE RIGHTEOUSNESS TO   BE PREVAILED....
